October 18, 2016 Board Meeting Agenda Item #23 Title APPROVAL TO RE-AWARD BID #17-0380 FOR STC - FIRE SCIENCE ACADEMY BREATHING APPARATUS Description Bids to provide 'STC - Fire Science Academy Breathing Apparatus' were received on July 12, 2016 and awarded to Fisher Scientific Company, LLC (Fisher Science Education Business Unit) on August 16, 2016. The bid is being re-awarded to Municipal Emergency Services, Inc., due to Fisher Scientific Company, LLC (Fisher Science Education Business Unit) withdrawing their bid for incorrect pricing. The funds for these purchases are contained in the Internal Account lab fees collected from students. Recommendation That the bid to provide 'STC - Fire Science Academy Breathing Apparatus' be re-awarded to Municipal Emergency Services, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $60,502.28, be approved as presented.
